Looking over the #witch tweets, it is still super surprising that #witch is used as a derogatory word towards women. I mean the actual #WitchHunts targeted, and killed innocent women, by accusing them of being #witches. I guess there's some hold over on that one. Then again, some zealots are using the #witch to denote people they believe are evil, and actually witches. I hope I stay off their radar! 1. #Witches bringing the lightFollowing the horrific terrorist attack in Manchester last night, it's nice to see the witches coming out with their magick in support. Be that light! 2. A #witch in the wildWhenever I go out into nature, I feel especially #witchy and connected to the spirits. I like this photo because a #witch in nature is right at home! 3. Coffee #witchcraftThis next tweet just really tickles my fancy, because I love coffee, and I imagine you could definitely summon me with this set up!! And that's the end of my favorite #witch tweets this week!! Be sure to send me any awesome #witch tweets that I've missed!
Blessed Be! Giana I think I may need to change the title of this particular blog, as I am posting about #Witch tweets every day!! 1. #witch altarI saw this lovely #witch tweet of an altar, and I thought, "you know, that's an awesome idea! I love seeing other people's altars!" Maybe we can create a #witch hashtag: #WitchAltar and share pictures of our altars with each other.. What do you say? 2. making witch hatsThis next #witch tweet seems to show some arts and crafts #witch hats, and I love it!! It reminds me that as magickal practitioners it is good to make your ritual garments, and adorn them with magickal symbols, and amulets! What about you, have you made/decorated your own special witch hat?
1. aRtsy #witchesThese #witches are showing their #witch inspired art! Super cool! Not sure if the coffee one is original art, but YES GIRL, YES!! I do need that much coffee. 2. #witches usIng their powers for changeFrom what I can tell, these #witches are coming together to help heal an area! An awesome tweet and an awesome cause! May we come together more often to create magical change! 3. A REMINDER of the real #witch huntsThis tweet is a gruesome reminder of what real witch hunts looked like! For all the #witches who have come before, and were brutally tortured for it, we honor you. Also, interesting to note, many times the argument is used that the #witch hunts targeted innocent non-witches, and thus was bad. The implication being that if real #witches had been killed, then whatevz. #Witches are people too, just with a different belief system. 4. Reclaiming the #witchHere's my attempt at reclaiming the hashtag #witch.. it's probably a lost cause cuz these people actually hate #witches. But, here's my twitter-try! And that's the end of the witch tweets this week! As always, if you've got a good witch tweet, send it to me ;) Blessed be!
I guess the week that 45 calls himself the victim of a witch hunt isn't the best time to start a Witch Tweets Listicle, but whatever! I wanted to see what's out there in the Twitterverse about #Witches. 1. A Witch by any other nameWell, I guess #Witch is still a derogatory term used to throw shade. I always forget that, and as if you needed to guess, Hillary Clinton is the #Witch that everyone's talking about. I guess her belief that hot peppers are good for your health is pretty witchy. The fact that Sandy is still referencing HRC is pretty ridiculous though: Orange Garbage fire is the president. 2. Witchy Study timeThis #Witch is taking her learning seriously, but she lost her page, and has to start over!! 😂 Welcome to the language of the gods! They do that shit! All. The. Time! There's something they want you to get before they'll let you move forward. Pen pal tarotI'm going to be real right now: I googled TFW, which means 'that feel when'. I really don't understand what's happening here, but a tarot pen pal seems like the raddest idea ever! P.s. When I look at this I read it like: that feel when the grouping tells you the time for partying is over, cuz the teacher has arrived, and you've got serious work to do. ![]() And these are the Witch Tweets this Week! Hope you enjoyed! If you have any funny #Witch tweeters that you like, comment below and I'll give 'em a follow!
Cheers! Training yourself into magick, and rewriting your story, is both about your thoughts, and your words. You must watch how you think, and talk about, yourself. As I stated in my book Magick Where You’re At, “...every moment you must choose to be an optimist, with whatever your situation. Magick works on belief, and optimism is a state of mind. Many times people are not aware of the words they are using, of the dis-empowering stance they take in their language, or the reality that words are spells. Words are the verbal expression of thoughts. People are also not aware that they let their thoughts rule their minds, and if their words are disempowered, chances are their thoughts are as well. Your words are powerful, and you should watch what you say, and how you say it. Be aware of the web you are spinning, because, like a spider, it is sure that you will be living right in the middle of it.” (Cicchelli, 2016).
The idea that I am really trying to convey is that our world is created by our words and thoughts. I am in no way, however, suggesting that people who experience trauma in life are responsible for it. This is a popular belief thrown around in various spiritual circles. I don’t subscribe to this motto because it is unhelpful, and usually makes the person suffering from trauma feel like it’s their fault. This is counter productive. Trauma happens. A person who experiences trauma shouldn’t be blamed for their reality. At the same time, it is of benefit not to let trauma become the defining story that gets repeated time, and time again. Even if it happens over and over again, it is best to stop telling the story. In fact, let this be the moment that you take inventory of the stories that you tell about yourself. Now, if that story that you tell over and over again is being utilized to encourage social change, then it becomes a position of positivity. By making the trauma story a platform for change, it is a source of power, and a catalyst for shifts in consciousness. The story that you need to stop telling is the one you use to prove to your friends and family that life just never works for you. By believing that something always happens to you, you will reinforce it, and it will continue to happen. Once you stop telling the story, and train yourself out of disempowering thoughts and words, you will find that your life changes, and that thing that always happens, won’t. This isn’t necessarily easy to do at first, and I don’t want you to beat yourself up if you don’t master it immediately. It is a gradual process that you engage with. I still find myself learning new ways to reinterpret reality, and shift my consciousness. It’s a journey, try to enjoy it. |
